Rishidas, an 8-year-old boy (UHID: KABHK.0000265918), has been diagnosed with Thalassemia, a serious blood disorder that requires regular blood transfusions. His only chance for a healthy life is to undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT).
He is currently receiving treatment at HCG KR Unit, Bangalore, under the care of Dr. Intezar Mehdi.
The estimated cost for the transplant is ₹25,00,000, which is far beyond the means of his family.
Rishidas’s father works as a daily-wage coolie, struggling even to meet basic household needs. Affording such a large medical expense is impossible for them without support.
