Cancer Screening and Awareness Programs

At HCG Foundation, we believe that cancer is curable if detected early. Unfortunately, our experience has shown that many individuals seek medical attention only when the disease has progressed to advanced stages (III or IV). This lack of early diagnosis is prevalent among various groups, including government health department personnel, rural populations, and even educated individuals.

To address this critical issue, we have developed comprehensive programs aimed at cancer screening programs and raising awareness about cancer, with a particular focus on breast, oral, and cervical cancers. These initiatives educate communities about cancer's early signs and symptoms and promote regular screenings.

The process to refer a patient to HCG Foundation

  • Conduct cancer screening tests

  • Create cancer awareness and remove the stigma and fear attached.

  • Help people recognize the early signs and symptoms of cancer, thus enabling them to seek treatment at an early stage.

  • Educate people about the key risk factors, since more than 30% of cancer cases could be prevented by modifying lifestyle or avoiding the risk factors.

  • Inform people about the importance of regular screening and check-ups.

  • Inform women about mammograms, clinical breast exams, and breast self-exams.

Mobile Screening

Bringing cancer screening closer to communities, HCG Foundation’s mobile screening initiative takes essential diagnostic services directly to underserved and remote areas. Equipped with healthcare professionals and screening facilities, the mobile unit supports early detection, raises cancer awareness, and helps people access timely screening closer to home.

Student Outreach

Since 2018, HCG Foundation has conducted healthy habits campaigns for 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students in government schools. The program includes interactive sessions on nutrition, yoga, art, HPV vaccination, and conversations with healthcare professionals, helping students understand healthy lifestyle choices, peer pressure, substance abuse, and the importance of maintaining a balanced diet.

The initiative aims to build healthy habits and awareness from an early age, empowering children with practical knowledge that can support their physical, emotional, and overall well-being.
