Little Gowri S, a 6-year-old child (KABHK.0000268566), has been bravely fighting Ewing Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment at HCG Cancer Centre under the care of Dr. Intezar Mehdi.
Despite her young age, Gowri has already endured a long and difficult treatment journey. She has successfully completed 9 cycles of chemotherapy and also undergone major surgery as part of her cancer treatment.
Her family has spent approximately ₹25 lakhs so far for her treatment. To save their daughter’s life, they have exhausted all their resources by taking hand loans, pledging gold, and borrowing from relatives and friends. Gowri’s father is the only earning member of the family, making it extremely difficult for them to continue bearing the mounting medical expenses.
Doctors have now advised 5 more cycles of chemotherapy followed by radiation therapy to complete her treatment and give her the best chance at recovery. However, the family is struggling to arrange the remaining funds required to continue her treatment.
