Nikhil Kumar Koppal (UHID: KABHK.0000266619), a 25-year-old from Bagalkot, Karnataka, is currently undergoing treatment at HCG KR Unit, Bangalore under the care of Dr. Vijay Raj S. Patil.
He has been diagnosed with Carcinoma Thyroid with locoregional metastasis. This came as a devastating shock to his family. Nikhil was raised by his single mother, who has worked tirelessly to provide for him and his three younger siblings, all of whom are still studying. To support his mother, Nikhil had just started working when, unfortunately, he was diagnosed with cancer.
Doctors have advised him to undergo a major surgery, which is estimated to cost around ₹8,00,000. With no stable income and the responsibility of his siblings’ education, the family is unable to bear the treatment expenses.
